Hi there!
My name is Grecia White. I'm a transportation planner with the City of Boston where I focus on expanding the city's mobility hubs program, managing our pilot e-bike fleet for employees and drafting various policies.
Previously, I worked as a reporter for StreetsblogMASS where I focused on mobility in the Boston region, writing about rail-trail projects, the MBTA, and transportation advocacy efforts in the region.
Currently, I'm spending time brushing up on GIS skills as well as exploring a newfound interest -- offshore wind! I've attended local events on the subject and it's truly a fascinating approach to address our climate change needs.
I also co-lead Plan Dulce, a podcast by the Latinos and Planning Division of APA. Our goal is to highlight the work Latine/a/o folks are undertaking to improve our communities.
During the summer of 2021 I researched public transit and perceived safety through a gender lens. Feel free to read the report or explore the interactive map.
That same summer I also conducted interviews and put together a video documenting the experiences of "women who bike at night"
